Let me start off by saying... I'm addicted to this channel.
I seriously heart it. Created by Robyn Barry-Cotter, Amine America is one of the best go-to Youtube channels in regards to anime. Robyn and her crew do reviews, Top 10 lists (which are my favorites), and vlogs on social issues and themes. As a fellow Sailor Moon fan (which is my ultimate favorite, as is Robyn's), I really enjoyed her Sailor March Madness series. All things Sailor Moon. Yes, please!!! In addition, I frequently show AA's Top 10 lists to my teens when we have our weekly Anime & Manga Club. You can tell that the crew does their research and are very knowledgeable of the anime and characters. I can sing their praises all day, but there were a few issues I had with one of their videos. In the Top 10 Most Annoying Characters in Anime, they made some harsh (and inaccurate) comments about feminists in regards to a group of characters known as the Lobelia Girls. I love how "feminist" is such a bad word. Here's the deal: all feminists are not male haters. Feminists are those who want equal rights like their male counterparts. What's wrong with that?In addition to the feminist dig was comparing the Lobelia girls to drag queens. Granted, the video was made a few years ago, and maybe mindsets have changed, yet it still struck a chord with me. But overall, I love the channel, and highly recommend it. Robyn and her crew put in a lot of work and effort into Anime America. They are passionate about their work and their love for anime that I think fellow anime lovers would really appreciate this channel. On the scale of 1-5, I give Anime America a 4.5, not because I'm biased. Okay, maybe a little ;) But their channel is definitely a required taste for anime fans.
